Certified Technical Experts Inc. and its mentor, Tec-Masters, along with Alabama State University and its College of Business Administration, recently received the Nunn-Perry Award from the Department of Defense. The award "recognizes successful mentor-protégé teams that have excelled in technical developments, cost efficiencies and increased business opportunities for small businesses," according to a release from CTE, a technology consulting firm in Montgomery and Kennesaw, Georgia.
The award is part of a national initiative that encourages major defense industry contractors, such as TMI, to share their technical expertise and knowledge of government contracting to increase development and technical capabilities of small disadvantaged business subcontractors and new mission partners.
